Sweet Saturday: Reese's Cupcakes

Welcome to my new series, Sweet Saturdays where I teach you how to make easy and delicious sweets that you can enjoy for the weekend.


Today's treat consists of my favorite candy ever Reese's Peanut Butter Cup's!


It's just something about those little cups that gives me life and I love love love them! So let's get to it so you can taste a little piece of haven!

REESE'S CUPCAKES
SERVES 18




INGREDIENTS

Cupcake:

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 stick of melted butter
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of sour cream
  • 1 cup of Reese's peanut butter chips


Peanut Butter Butter Cream
  • 2 sticks of softened butter
  • 1 cup of peanut butter
  • 2 cups of confectionery sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of milk


DIRECTIONS
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Line muffin pan with 18 paper baking cups
  • Mix together cake mix, melted butter, milk, eggs, and sour cream until smooth
  • Mix in peanut butter chips
  • Fill paper baking cups 2/3 full of batter
  • Bake cupcakes in oven for 25 to 30 minutes
  • Cream together softened butter and peanut butter until smooth
  • Slowly incorporate the powder sugar
  • Once incorporated add vanilla and milk until well mixed
